QUATRE PANNEAUX EN SOIE CREME BRODEE

De forme rectangulaire, ils sont brodés au point passé, de fils polychromes, d'un décor de vases fleuris. Ces derniers, posés sur des consoles, sont accompagnés de jardinières fleuries, brûle-parfums, plateaux contenant 'les Trois Abondances' (sanduo ). Les cadres en bois sont rehaussés d'une baguette à décor ajouré de bambous.

Lot Essay

Embroidered silk hanging panels were very important elements of decoration in China. A group of eight panels, dated to the Guangxu period, is illustrated in Textiles and Embroideries of the Ming and Qing Dynasties - The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum , Hong Kong, 2005, p. 250, no. 273.
