Lot Essay

US$28,000-38,000

With Rolex Garantie dated 24 December 1984, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

The 727 Valjoux based calibre represents the pinnacle of Rolex's technical efforts which demonstrates the driving force that is at the heart of their manually wound chronographs. The case proportions of this watch, from the last generation, are more "modern" and thicker but still echoing the legacy of its predecessors.
The black background layout affords this chronograph an attractive alternation of blacks and whites; the white counters against the black background, the black plastic insert framed by the bright edges of the steel track. The red Daytona designation is the only concession to colour, sparkling above the central register.

This lot is a fine example of a 6263 reference in overall original and very good condition.
