A FINE PAIR OF INCISED AUBERGINE-ENAMELLED 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' BOWLS
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
Each bowl is thinly potted with rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to an everted rim. The exterior is incised with a five-clawed dragon and a phoenix striding amidst cloud scrolls, covered overall with a brownish-purple enamel. The base and interior covered with a transparent glaze.
