Small 4° (185 x 134mm). Additional plate of the Flemish painter Theodor Corenhert cut down and mounted opposite title, title with woodcut printer’s device, 25 engraved emblems in text by J.H. Wierix. (Lacks frontispiece of Coornhert, upper margin of B1 repaired, some staining and browning throughout.)Late 17th-century/early 18th-century crimson morocco, wide gilt tooled border on sides, spine lavishly decorated gilt in compartments, gilt edges (one or two small scuff marks on sides, lightly rubbed). Provenance: A. H. Bright.
