4° (187 x 137mm). Engraved title with nine circular figures and two small white shields left blank, 73 engraved emblems by Johann Theodor de Bry partly after Brueghel the Elder, of which 72 numbered, 28 additional escutcheons derived from earlier editions. (Some light browning.) Later vellum, manuscript title on spine (corners lightly bumped and few stains). Provenance: unidentified ownership inscription on title --C.W.G.V.N. (booklabel) -- A.H. Bright (booklabel).

Third edition. The first edition was published in 1596 and contained the same engraved plates by de Bry after Brueghel the Elder. Landwehr German, 157; Praz pp. 290-291 (incorrectly stating this is the fourth edition).
