Lot Essay

Greenwood studied at the Royal College of Art and won a scholarship to the British School in Rome. During the Second World War he was on the staff of the School of Military Engineering as an architectural draughtsman. Exhibiting at the Royal Academy and Royal Institution, he was elected a member of the R.W.S. in 1973. His work is represented in Tate Britain.
