Lot Essay

Principally known as a watercolourist, Lockwood was born and brought up in Birmingham. She studied at the Birmingham School of Arts and Crafts under Bernard Fleetwood-Walker and Harold Smith, and was elected a member of the R.B.S.A. in 1959 and the R.W.S. in 1974.
