A polychromed terracotta mask of Bhairava
Nepal, 16th century
Very finely modeled with open mouth, bulging eyes, and sharply arched brows, flanked by foliate hooped earrings and surmounted by a foliate skull tiara with the head of Ganga at center, the hair standing wildly on end and supporting several small serpents
