FIVE BLUE AND WHITE DISHES
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each is decorated in the center with a different figural scene below four scenes of scholars at various pursuits within oblong panels alternating with diaper decoration on the wide, everted rim. Four of the babao are painted on the underside of each rim.
8 1/8 and 8¼ in. (20.5 and 21 cm.) diam.
