A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND SGRAFFIATO BOWLS
GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
Each is decorated on the exterior with three medallions, each enclosing a goat in a landscape, alternating with a vignette of antiques, all on a pale creamy yellow, sgraffiato ground. A medallion in the bottom of the interior encloses a dragon and a phoenix contesting a flaming pearl within a ruyi border.
8 1/8 in. (20.6 cm.) diam.
