A RED-OVERLAY WHITE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1770-1820
The ovoid bottle is raised on a red foot ring and carved through the red outer layer to the white ground on each side with two chilong confronted on a tiny shou character flanked by pearls and bats, and on the narrow sides with a mask and ring handle above a tiny wan emblem and a C-scroll.
2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) high, gilt-metal stopper
