Arabic manuscript on cream paper, 395ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of black naskh, gold and polychrome rosette verse markers, text panels outlined in gold and polychrome, further black outer rules, later catch words, sura headings in gold on gold and polychrome illuminated panels, marginal medallions marking hizb, nisf and juz', opening bifolio with dense later illumination surrounding 6ll. of text in clouds reserved against gold ground, an added illuminated table of contents folio preceding this, colophon dated, in contemporaneous lacquer binding with polychrome floral motifs, the doublures with gold floral illumination on red ground, some flaking of lacquer
