AN EGYPTIAN PAINTED LIMESTONE STELE
ROMAN PERIOD, CIRCA 3RD-4TH CENTURY A.D.
With the upper torso of a female within a deep niche, wearing a heavy cloak draped over her shoulders and falling along her right arm which she holds across her waist, her hair swept away from her face and bound in a top knot, with black eyebrows, eyes and short upper lashes, prominent detailed ears, the niche preserving bands of polychrome decoration
