A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER-GILT SALT CELLARS
MARK OF DAVID HENNELL (I), LONDON, 1762
Squat circular with gadroon rims, floral-chased sides, on mask and scroll feet terminating in trefoil pads engraved to bases with crest coronet of a demi-lion rampant above initial "S", together with a pair of foliate rococo-end salt spoons with scalloped bowls, London, 1828; also 2 Dutch spoons with mother and children finials, one by Theodorus Pas, Leeuwarden, 1810, the other silver-gilt with English crest engraved in bowl, maker's mark only, an orb, probably early 18th century; and a Dutch combination fork and spoon with figural terminal, the detachable bowl engraved Pieter Claesz Giewerts ANNO 1653, unmarked, probably 17th century; and a Dutch candy bowl of 18th century style with pierced and shaped rim and drop handles, spurious marks, late 19th/early 20th century
