Signed Yabu Meizan, Meiji period (late 19th century)
Decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt on a crackled cream ground with numerous butterflies including an amorous pair, the handle and spout with flowers and vine, the cover with a butterfly and the finial with kiku mon
