A VENETIAN SILVER-GILT SCHIAVONA DAGGER
DATED '1801'
With blade of tapering triangular section cut on each face with a pair of pierced fullers, moulded forte engraved with the letter 'V' and the date '1801', silver-gilt hilt comprising guard with pierced 'Doge's crown' set with semi-precious stones and arched quillons, original silver-wire-bound grip with Turk's heads, and long turned pommel en suite with the quillons, in original silver scabbard with silver-gilt locket and chape, the body of the scabbard engraved with running foliage and dated 'Ano 1801'
