from the Eocene (circa 35 Mya) the specimen of Diplopoda clearly visible in the pale yellow amber nugget -- with four clearly visible specimens of Diptera

Lot Essay

These five rare specimens are highly visible to the naked eye, even down to flies' diaphanous wings, and show remarkable preservation. The carnivorous millipede is a particular rarity.
