Lot Essay

Walter Goetz was born in Cologne in 1911 and came to England in 1923. He studied painting and commercial art in Berlin before returning to England in 1931. He was an illustrator, cartoonist and poster artist for Vogue, Bystander, Liliput, and Punch.
