Tasting note: Made up from a blend of the best ports from five quinta's, dos Malvedos 35% / do Tua 16% / dos Lages 12% / da Vila Velha 18% / do Vale de Malhadas 19%. 2011 was characterized by small berries, resulting in one of the smallest declarations ever. 8000 cases, a 1000 cases less than the last declaration of the 2007’s. At the launch in June 2013 clearly showing its class. Fine rich cherry aroma's, intense and complex, deep dark chocolate aromas. Closed still, fresh focused taste attack, wide with beautiful fruit. Quite dense taste start, compared to the Cockburn. Full sweet start of fine ripe fruit overwhelming the structure of fine tannins and lovely acidity. An amazing balance, a great classic Graham. Intense, build for a long aging. A great wine. Last tasted February 2014. E.V.
