'Parmi les sculptures de Cragg présentes à la galerie, javais particulièrement aimé un bronze noir,Envelope Spirale. Après l'avoir revu plusieurs fois, les Buchmann qui étaient déjà venus à la maison et l'avaient vu évoluer avec le temps vinrent chez nous pour étudier différents endroits possibles où l'exposer. [...] Ils me demandèrent de ne pas être présent le jour de l'installation à Montagnola ! Jacceptai et quand je revins d'un voyage à New York, la sculpture était là. Cest une pièce véritablement merveilleuse.'

After I had seen it several times, the Buchmanns who had been to my house and watched it evolve over time came to look at possible sites for the piece. [...] They asked me not to be in Montagnola when it was installed! I accepted, and when I returned from a trip to New York the sculpture was there. It is a wonderful piece.'
