ALL HARDBACK EDITIONS. In the 1906 season, Tom Hayward scores 3518, a record that stands for 41 years. In 1907 A.E. Trott takes four wickets in four balls for Middlesex v Somerset in his benefit match at Lord’s, followed by a hat-trick later in the innings. W.G. Grace plays his final first-class match in 1908. In 1909 C. Blythe takes 215 wickets in the season, Wilfred Rhodes scores 2094 runs and takes 141 wickets, while the visiting Australians under Monty Noble retain the Ashes.
