VERY RARE: AE and ABPC record no other example of any part of this deluxe issue having sold at auction. 'In the history of the freedom of thought, a special place should be reserved for this very rare periodical... characterised by its diversity of viewpoints, where a theoretical reflexion on Freud's writings sits alongside... the erotic texts of Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Swinburne... [to say nothing of] Toyen's drawings, whose humour balances the seriousness, to give this periodical its unique character' (Eros invaincu). The whole edition comprises 150 copies only, including 30 deluxe. Issues are numbered individually [IX, XI, XVI and XVI], with an overall printed limitation page, numbered XVI, bound-in at the end. Eros invaincu 107.
