A DOUCAI 'DUCK AND LOTUS' BOWL
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The bowl is decorated to the exterior with a continuous scene of ducks in a lotus pond, some swimming on the surface and others flying above. The interior is decorated with a central roundel containing two further ducks within a lotus pond scene.
7¾ in. (19.7 cm.) diam.
