A similar example was formerly displayed between the first floor windows outside 43 Sherbourne Street in Cheltenham. The sign currently forms part of the Cheltenham Museum and Art Gallery collection. Another comparative early 19th century example in carved and painted wood forms part of the Horniman Museum Collection. Both these examples are illustrated in the exhibition catalogue from The Art of the People in America and Britain, Cornerhouse Arts Centre, Manchester 1985.
