CIRCA 1880, ACID-ETCHED THOMAS WEBB & SONS CRESCENT MARK, RECORDED AS DESIGNED AND CARVED BY THOMAS WOODALL, SIGNED IN INTALGIO G. WOODALL
Of swelling baluster form, the frosted honey-brown glass wall overlaid in opaque white and finely wheel-engraved with a recumbent and a standing giraffe grazing on a leafy branch, a cluster of palm trees to one side, the domed circular foot edged with leaves
7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) high

Few Webb vases decorated with animal subjects are known. This is the only example extant with giraffes.
