Lot Essay

This rare 'Castle Window’ design appears to be unrecorded. For a related example cut with a cottage window, see R. and L. Grover, English Cameo Glass, New York, 1980, p. 147, pl. C149. Also see p. 331, for a line drawing of a third example from George Woodall’s sketch book (S146), pattern W.2471.
