Geneva: Pellet, 1778-1779. 39 volumes, including 3 plate volumes, 4° (260 x 205mm). Half-titles, engraved portraits, engraved plate in final vol. of text, and 446 plates, plans and maps and 51 tables. (Vol. XV without half title, 4Q2 in vol. XXXIV restored with small loss, occasional marginal ink stains, some very light occasional browning.) All very similarly bound in contemporary mottled calf, gilt spines with gilt labels, red edges, modern slip cases (plate vol. III restored at head of spine, vol. XV with small chip to top right corner, few scuff marks). Provenance: Giulio Costantini (book label) -- Chateau Piasaguel (stamp on vol. XV).
