Alexandra of Denmark (1844-1925) was Queen of the United Kingdom and Empress of India as the wife of King-Emperor Edward VII.
This miniature relates to a group of photographs taken by William and Daniel Downey in September 1866 of Queen Alexander when Princess of Wales, in the Royal Collection (Royal Collection Inventory No. 2923263, 2108638 and 2108645).
