QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The dish is finely decorated on the interior with a central iron-red Shou medallion within a band of dense scrolling foliage below five iron-red bats.The base is decorated with a band of composite lotus panels and ruyi-heads above the spreading foot with overlapping leaves suspending tassels.

Lot Essay

A very similar example in the Nanjing Museum was included in the exhibition, Qing Imperial Porcelain, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1995, and illustrated in the Catalogue, no 91. A similar stem dish was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 20 March 1990, lot 660; and another from the Edward T. Chow collection, was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 25 November 1980, lot 172.
