A CARVED SPINACH-GREEN JADE BRUSH POT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The cylindrical sides are finely and deeply carved with a continuous dramatic mountain landscape. One scene depicts two bearded immortals before a pavilion, another scene with an immortal and an attendant crossing the turbulent waters of a rushing river, and a third scene with an immortal and attendant below pine trees, all below the cloud-enshrouded rim. The stone is of a deep green colour with some mottling and dark speckling throughout.
5 3/4 in. (14.5 cm.) high, box
