LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The top of the table is inlaid in mother-of-pearl with a scene of Gautama Buddha teaching the Dharma at the deer park, set within a square frame embellished with a floral scroll with beaded, 'ice-plate' edge, above similarly decorated aprons and legs joined to the underside by giant's arm braces and terminating in hoof feet.
