A SMALL PARCEL-GILT BRONZE INCENSE BOX AND COVER
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
The cover is cast with the zabao, miscellaneous treasures, against a dark ground within a gilt border. The sides of the box and cover are inlaid in silver wire with bands of keyfret. The base is inscribed with the maker's mark, Yunjian Hu Wenming zhi, within a rectangle reserved against the copper-colored base.
2 3/4 in. (7.2 cm.) diam.
