The figure of the man leaning towards the left in the upper half of the drawing appears in at least two paintings, A Sculptor's studio (Sotheby's, London, 11 December 1974, lot 6) and A School party (Schüler collection, Wawra, Vienna, 3 February 1909, lot 81).
