Title and text printed in red and black, woodcut half-title illustration and 79 woodcut illustrations by and after Edward Gordon Craig, one printed in black and blue, another finished by hand in red. (A few pale spots.) Original vellum-backed boards (a few stains to spine); dust jacket (chipping and repaired); pocket on lower pastedown containing J. Dover Wilson's "Notes on the Text of Shakespeare's Hamlet, 1604"; slipcase (dust jacket chipping and repaired; a few stains to spine).
LIMITED EDITION, number 67 of 300 copies, from a total edition of 322, on Maillol-Kessler hand-made paper. The English edition contains 6 additional woodcuts by Craig not present in the German edition of 1929.
