Lot Essay

The present lot, which is from an edition of twelve, is an example of the elegant forms of birds created by Geoffrey Dashwood, achieved by creating elegant outlines and the tactile nature of the patinated surface of this bronze. One of England's leading wildlife sculptors, his career spans over thirty years.
