(?) 1' on the tang, rounded lock incised with double border lines and marked 'TOWER' on the tail and with 'GR' cypher beneath the pan, walnut three quarter stock with arsenal numbers incised on each side of the butt, brass mounts, iron sling mounts, and later iron ramrod
