A FINE AND RARE 7.63mm 'C96' SELF-LOADING LARGE RING CARBINE
WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER, OBERNDORF A/N, SERIAL NO. 578, CIRCA 1900-1902
With 15.15/16 in. (40.5 cm.) blued signed nitro barrel, long blued extractor, rear-sight calibrated to 500 metres, blued frame signed 'WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A NECKAR' on the right side, removable 15 ½ in. (39.5 cm.) walnut stock with 'WFM' monogrammed horn butt-plate, old inventory labels, and slender splinter fore-end, matching numbers throughout, and retaining nearly all its original finish (magazine missing)
