The obverse with a fierce swan in profile to the left, with a furrowed brow and upward-curving beak, its wings upraised, an ivy leaf and a tympanum in the field; the reserve with a female head in profile to the left, her hair bound in a sakkos, ivy in the field below; a band of wave below the rim, palmette complex below the handles, details in added white and yellow
