CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE KANGXI (1662-1722)
The bowl is painted to the exterior with four fish swimming amongst aquatic flowers above a band of waves. The interior is painted with a central roundel containing a leaping carp below the sun emerging from clouds, all encircled by various aquatic plants and animals. The base has an apocryphal Xuande mark.
7¾ in. (19.7 cm.) diam.
