Lot Essay

One of the most legendary album covers of all time, the photo shoot for The Beatles Abbey Road took place on the morning of 8th August 1969. The Beatles crossed the pedestrian crossing to Abbey Road Studios three times back and forth while photographer Iain Macmillan, on a ladder, captured each crossing.
