A SOUTH GERMAN ENGRAVED GILT-BRASS QUARTER-REPEATING TIMEPIECE HEXAGONAL TABLE CLOCK WITH ALARM
FRANC ANTON RIEF, PASSAU, THIRD QUARTER 18TH CENTURY
The dial with hours and minutes and inner alarm disc, steel hands, plunge repeat to side, the bottom plate with foliate engraving and signed 'Franc Anton Rief Fecit in Passau'; the chain fusee movement with two hammers to single bell in hinged base, pierced and engraved bridge to balance, separate alarm hammer, glazed leather travel case
