A BLUE AND WHITE DISH
EARLY KANGXI PERIOD, CIRCA 1670
The dish is decorated in the interior in the 'Master of the Rocks' style with a mountainous river landscape, with a small sage and two attendants in the foreground, below a pine and bamboo band encircling the rim. The reverse is decorated with three branches and the base bears an apocryphal Chenghua mark.
8 ½ in. (21.6 cm.) diam.
