AN AMBER-GLAZED SEAL WITH BUDDHIST LION FINIAL
CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
Of tall rectangular form, surmounted by a Buddhist lion shown seated with head turned to one side and mouth open in a roar, with stylized mane separated in curls, and the tail tucked to one side, the seal reads chun feng shu hua lu yang chuan (Spring breezes paint a landscape of green willows and boats)
