A HONGMU ICE CHEST AND NANMU STAND
CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
The two top hongmu panels fitted flush with one carved in openwork with two cash emblems, the square ice chest with flared sides fitted with a pewter rim and two pairs of brass handles between brass bands, raised on the nanmu stand of conforming shape with narrow waist and plain beaded aprons supported on thick beaded, incurved legs set into a base stretcher raised on short tabs
Size overall 28 5/8 in. (72.7 cm.) high, 24 ¾ in. (62.9 cm.) wide, 25 ½ in. (64.8 cm.) deep
