CHINA, TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The bodhisattva shown standing on a lotus base with the hips swayed, and dressed in an ankle-length dhoti secured at the waist with a sash, the face with bow-shaped mouth and almond-shaped eyes, the hair tied in a topknot with locks escaping over the shoulders
