CHINA, NORTHERN SONG-JIN DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
Modeled as a lion with mouth open in a roar and seated on its haunches with its cub held between its front paws, the mane and tail separated into curls detailed with fine lines, on a circular base pierced with an opening leading to the mouth
