A LARGE CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON BRACKET-LOBED DISH
MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY
The sturdily potted dish is well-carved on the interior with a central medallion of 'coin' diaper pattern, encircled around the lobed well with vertically arranged lotus sprays below the everted, barbed rim. The exterior is carved with a lotus scroll, and the dish is covered overall in an even glaze of sea-green tone, with the exception of an unglazed orange ring on the base.
