A LANGYAO HIGH-SHOULDERED VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase, with a high-shouldered, tapering body that flares at the base, and a cylindrical neck with slightly everted rim, is covered on the exterior with a crackled glaze of dark crushed-strawberry color that drains to mushroom on the upper neck. The interior of the neck and the base are also covered with a crackled glaze of mushroom color.
