A JIANYAO 'HARE’S FUR’ TEA BOWL
SONG DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
The deep, conical body is covered on the interior and exterior with a lustrous black glaze finely streaked with 'hare’s fur’ markings thinning to russet brown at the rim and pooling above the neatly cut foot rim to reveal the coarse ware fired to a dark brown color.
