A GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE ELEPHANT-HANDLED CENSER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The censer is heavily cast with a pair of elephant-head handles flanking the inverted bell-shaped body decorated with a bowstring band around the mid-section, and decorated overall with gilt splashes. The recessed base is cast with a two character inscription, Gu Shi, Archaic Style.
